Qingdao Municipal Government former party member and deputy mayor Wu Jingjian has been expelled from the party: greedy and unrelenting.
The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the National Supervisory Commission reported on September 1st that, according to the information from the Discipline Inspection Commission of Shandong Province: with the approval of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, the Discipline Inspection Commission of Shandong Province has initiated an investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Wu Jingjian, former member of the Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Qingdao City.
After investigation, it was found that Wu Jingjian had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original intentions and missions, violated the spirit of the Eight-point Regulation of the Central Committee, improperly accepted banquets from former management and service targets after retirement; he violated the bottom line of integrity, received gifts and consumption cards improperly, borrowed money from former management and service targets after retirement, and illegally owned shares of non-listed companies; he did not manage his family properly, his relatives were uncontrollable and not educated; he was greedy and relentless, engaged in power-money transactions, used his position to benefit others in terms of stock dividends and project contracting, and illegally accepted huge amounts of money and property.
Wu Jingjian seriously violated the Party's discipline and the discipline of life, committed serious violations of duty, and is suspected of bribery and using his influence to take bribes. After the 18th National Congress of the CPC, he did not restrain himself and continued to commit serious offenses with a bad influence, and should be dealt with seriously.
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Discipline of the Communist Party of China", the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Administrative Sanctions Law for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China", after being reviewed and approved by the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Shandong Province and reported to the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, it was decided to expel Wu Jingjian from the Party; cancel his entitlements in accordance with regulations; confiscate the proceeds of his violations of discipline and law; and transfer the suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organs for investigation and prosecution, the involved assets will be transferred as well.
