Zhejiang ranks first in the country in terms of import and export volume with other member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Zhejiang's cooperation with other member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in various fields is deepening, with trade volume expanding continuously. In the first 7 months of this year, Zhejiang's import and export volume with other SCO member countries ranked first in the country. According to statistics from Hangzhou Customs, from January to July, the total import and export value of Zhejiang with other SCO member countries reached 265.82 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.4%, accounting for 12.6% of the total import and export value of other SCO member countries in the country. Among them, exports were 220.75 billion yuan, imports were 45.07 billion yuan, and both import and export volumes reached a new high, ranking first in the country. In addition, in 2024, Zhejiang's import and export volume with other SCO member countries reached 456.72 billion yuan, which was 49.6 times higher than when the SCO was established in 2001, with an average annual growth rate of 18.5%.
