Hebei Weixian County reported "Off-road vehicle accident causing 3 people trapped on the cliff": One person died.

The Emergency Management Bureau of Weixian County, Hebei Province reported on August 30th that on the afternoon of August 29th, a SUV accidentally fell off a cliff while conducting outdoor activities in a wilderness area south of Xiuwater Basin Village in Songjiazhuang Town, Weixian County. There were 3 people trapped inside the vehicle. Upon receiving the alarm, Weixian County promptly organized emergency, public security, fire, health, and local township rescue forces to rush to the scene and quickly carry out rescue operations. Through full rescue efforts, 2 trapped individuals were successfully rescued with stable vital signs, while another trapped individual was confirmed by medical staff to have no signs of life. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
