In the evening, Azerbaijani President Aliyev arrived in Tianjin by plane to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit. Azerbaijan is a dialogue partner of the SCO. China and Azerbaijan established diplomatic relations on April 2, 1992, and the relationship between the two countries has developed smoothly. In April of this year, the two countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership. On July 16, the visa exemption agreement between China and Azerbaijan came into effect, further promoting economic and trade cooperation, tourism, and cultural exchanges between the two countries. After attending the 2025 SCO Summit, President Aliyev will also travel to Beijing to attend the 80th anniversary commemoration of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
