Minister of Education Huai Jinping visited Chile and signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of education between China and Chile.
On August 28th and 29th local time, Minister of Education Huai Jinping led a delegation to Chile to attend the World Teachers' Summit and the meeting of the High-Level Advisory Committee on Education 2030, and to visit Chile. During the visit, Huai Jinping had brief exchanges with the Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, and ministers from participating countries, met with Chile's Minister of Education, Marcela Cubillos, and UNESCO's Assistant Director-General for Education, Stefania Giannini, and visited the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. They discussed deepening educational exchanges and cooperation between China and relevant countries, advancing the signing of the agreement on the establishment of the UNESCO International STEM Education Institute, among other topics.
During the meeting with Cubillos, Huai positively affirmed the achievements made by China and Chile in student exchanges, language teaching, and school-to-school exchanges, expressing a willingness to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of China and Chile, continuously deepen friendly cooperation, expand the scale, enrich the content, and explore new models of cooperation in areas of common concern such as digital education, vocational education, and industry-education integration. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of education between China and Chile.
