The 10th China International Nanoscience and Technology Conference opened in Beijing on August 30th. The "White Paper on China's Nanotechnology Industry" released at the conference shows that from 2000 to 2025, the total number of authorized nanotechnology patents worldwide exceeded 1,078,000, with Chinese patents reaching 464,000, accounting for a high share of 43% and ranking first in the world. The Chinese Academy of Sciences ranked first in the world with 23,400 patents. The white paper systematically outlines the development and future trends of the global and Chinese nanotechnology industries. The data also shows that by the end of 2025, the global nanotechnology market is expected to climb to $1.5 trillion, with a compound annual growth rate exceeding 17% from 2018 to 2025. China's nanotechnology patent transfer and licensing rate has exceeded 8%, and the efficiency of technology commercialization continues to improve.
