From 8:00 on August 29th to 8:00 on August 30th, heavy to torrential rains fell in parts of Hainan, the Leizhou Peninsula in Guangdong, the Shandong Peninsula, and the northwest part of Heilongjiang. Six rivers, including the middle and upper reaches of the Jinsha River in Sichuan, the middle reaches of the Min River in Sichuan, and the lower reaches of the Fu River in Chongqing, experienced flooding above warning levels. Due to recent high temperatures and melting snow, the Yarkant River, a tributary of the Tarim River in Xinjiang, also had a flow above warning levels. Currently, the Ministry of Water Resources has maintained a level IV emergency response for flood prevention in Liaoning and Sichuan provinces.
