Data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association on August 28th showed that despite the highest increase in pure electric car sales in the European Union in nearly two years in July of this year, American electric car brand Tesla encountered a "dark July" in the EU, with sales falling by more than 40% year-on-year, continuing a downward trend for the seventh consecutive month. The data showed that the sales of pure electric cars in the EU market in July increased by 39% year-on-year, but Tesla only sold 6600 vehicles, far below the 11465 vehicles sold in the same period last year. Tesla's stock price fell 1.5% during afternoon trading on the same day. (Xinhua News Agency)
