Starting from September, the new regulations for electric vehicles in Guangzhou will come into effect. Special license plates will be used for industries such as food delivery.

According to the Guangdong release, according to the "Guangzhou Electric Bicycle Registration Measures" and "Guangzhou Special License Plate Electric Bicycle Management Measures" issued by the Guangzhou Public Security Traffic Management Department, it will be officially implemented starting from September 1, with a validity period of 5 years. These two new regulations specify the specific requirements for electric bicycle registration management and issue special license plates for electric bicycles used by 7 categories of units engaged in life service industries such as food delivery and courier services.
