Sinopec Sichuan Chengdu Sales Branch released a statement saying that recently, a customer reported a problem at the Chengdu Gaoxin Tianshan gas station where a 50-liter tank was filled with 67.96 liters of gasoline, causing social concern. We sincerely apologize to the customers for the unpleasant consumption experience this incident has brought and express gratitude for the supervision from all sectors of society. On the day of the incident, our company immediately sealed the involved gas pump for inspection under the witness of the police, and conducted a comprehensive inspection of other gas pumps at the station. We actively communicated with the customers to reach understanding, cooperated seriously with the investigation by the market supervision department. On August 28, the Gaoxin District Market Supervision Administration issued a situation report indicating that the vehicle owner's report of overcharging was true, the preliminary cause was determined to be a malfunction in the hardware and software of the gas pump equipment and information interaction leading to duplicate charges, and no abnormal operation by the staff was found.
