Ministry of Commerce: will introduce a number of policy measures to expand service consumption in September.

On August 27th, Vice Minister of Commerce Sheng Qiuping pointed out at the State Council Information Office press conference that China's consumption pattern has gradually shifted towards a stage where both goods consumption and services consumption are equally important. In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will strengthen policy promotion and form a collaborative effort. Sheng Qiuping stated that since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Commerce has played a coordinating role in promoting the development of service consumption, launching initiatives such as the "silver hair tourism" special train, policies to improve the quality and capacity of home-based services, health consumption, and green consumption. Measures such as service consumption and elderly care loans, subsidized loans for service industry operators, have been introduced. The Ministry of Commerce will continue to implement policies effectively and transform the policy measures into tangible results to expand service consumption. Sheng Qiuping also mentioned that next month, the Ministry of Commerce will introduce several policy measures to expand service consumption, utilizing fiscal and financial means meanwhile optimizing and enhancing the supply capacity of services, stimulating the growth of service consumption.
