Ministry of Commerce: It is expected that service trade will continue to grow for the whole year, and the trade structure will continue to be optimized.
Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that in the first half of the year, China's total import and export of services reached 3.9 trillion yuan, an increase of 8% year-on-year. Among them, service exports reached 1.7 trillion yuan, an increase of 15%. The proportion of service exports in the total exports of foreign trade reached 11.5%, an increase of 0.7 percentage points compared to the same period last year. In the second half of the year, China's service trade development will usher in many opportunities and favorable conditions. Firstly, global service trade is expected to maintain growth. Secondly, sectors such as tourism will achieve rapid growth. Thirdly, the policy support for service trade will be further increased. Overall, it is expected that service trade will continue to grow throughout the year, and the trade structure will continue to optimize.
