Today, the State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on "achieving high-quality completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan". Relevant personnel from the National Energy Administration stated that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, China has continuously strengthened the construction of energy infrastructure to meet the energy needs of people's livelihoods. Wang Hongzhi, director of the National Energy Administration, introduced that in the past five years, China has continuously deepened the implementation of rural power grid consolidation and upgrading projects, with a total of 25 billion yuan allocated from the central budget, driving rural networks to complete investments exceeding 800 billion yuan. Actively promoting the development and utilization of distributed new energy for the benefit of the people, by the first half of this year, household photovoltaic installations were approximately 1.8 billion kilowatts, increasing farmers' income by about 14 billion yuan annually. Increasing the extension of the main power grid in remote areas, continuously improving off-grid power supply in islands and other areas, and making efforts to connect the "last mile" of energy services for people's livelihoods.
