According to regulatory documents and company statements, Korean Air will purchase 103 next-generation aircraft from Boeing, 19 spare engines from GE Aerospace and CFM International, as well as a comprehensive engine maintenance plan in cooperation with GE Aerospace. The total investment is approximately 50 billion US dollars, including 36.2 billion US dollars for the purchase of Boeing aircraft, 690 million US dollars for the purchase of 19 spare engines, and 13 billion US dollars for a 20-year engine maintenance service contract. The aircraft purchase order includes 20 Boeing 777-9, 25 Boeing 787-10, 50 Boeing 737-10, and 8 Boeing 777-8F freighters; with deliveries planned in stages by the end of 2030.
