The State Council's Work Safety Commission has decided to list the investigation and handling of the "8.22" major collapse accident in the construction project of the Jiange Yellow River Bridge on the Xicheng Railway as a priority for supervision and follow-up.

On August 22, a collapse accident occurred at the construction project of the Jiaozha Yellow River Bridge on the Qinghai section of the West Chengdu Railway. Currently, it has resulted in 12 deaths and 4 missing persons. The State Council Work Safety Commission has decided to conduct a special supervision and investigation on this major accident. The State Council Work Safety Commission office and the Emergency Management Department, together with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the National Railway Administration, have established an on-site supervision team to oversee the accident investigation work in Qinghai province.
