Trump announces an investigation into the tariff on furniture imports.

Trump said: "We are conducting a major tariff investigation on furniture products entering the United States. Within the next 50 days, this investigation will be completed, at which time furniture products entering the United States from other countries will be subject to tariffs, the specific tax rate has yet to be determined. This will bring the furniture industry back to North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan and across the United States." As a result, shares of American furniture companies fell after hours.
