Three ministries: Rare earth production companies should establish a rare earth product traceability record system.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Natural Resources have issued the "Interim Measures for the Total Control and Management of Rare Earth Mining and Rare Earth Smelting and Separation". The interim measures stipulate that rare earth production enterprises should establish a system for recording the flow of rare earth products, truthfully record information on the flow of rare earth products, and enter the information on the flow of rare earth products for the previous month into the rare earth product tracing information system established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and relevant departments before the 10th of each month. The competent departments of industry and information technology and natural resources of the people's governments at or above the county level should strengthen supervision and inspection of the implementation of total control indicators, investigate and deal with violations of laws, strictly implement laws, regulations, and the State Council's requirements for administrative inspections related to enterprises, and ensure that supervision and inspection are based on law, strict, standardized, fair, civilized, precise, and efficient.
