At the press conference held on the 22nd by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Guo Nan, Deputy Director of the Electronic Industry Standardization Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that the newly added harmful substances to be controlled in the mandatory national standard "Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" are four kinds of phthalates. If these substances are used in excess in products, they may harm human health, and they may also cause secondary pollution to the environment during product disposal and recycling. In recent years, economies such as Europe, the United States, Japan, and South Korea have gradually included these four kinds of phthalates in their relevant control requirements.
