On August 22, Deng Zhiyong, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation and Director of the National Standardization Management Committee, stated at a press conference organized by the State Council Information Office that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, relevant departments will continue to carry out special actions for monitoring the online market. They have urged platforms to delete 4.541 million pieces of illegal product information, ordered the suspension of platforms' services 58,000 times, investigated 105,000 cases related to online activities, and enhanced the regulation of live-streaming e-commerce chaos. They are also increasing efforts to monitor and deal with violations. They have urged online trading platforms to completely remove the "only refund" policy, eliminate unreasonable restrictions such as automatic price matching and mandatory freight insurance, and improve the fairness and transparency of fees. They also require food delivery platforms to regulate promotional activities, participate in competition rationally, and build a good ecological environment.
