By the end of 2024, a total of 519 world champions will be produced in China during the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" period.

The State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on "high-quality completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan" at 10:00 this morning, where Gao Zhidan, Director of the State Sports Administration, introduced the achievements of building a sports power during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. It was reported that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China achieved new results in promoting national fitness. Competitive sports have showcased a new image of China as a sports power, by the end of 2024, Chinese athletes have won 519 world championships and set 68 world records during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
