The Wuhan car replacement and upgrade policy will be temporarily suspended starting from August 19th.

The Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Commerce issued a notice on adjusting the policy of replacing old cars with new ones in Wuhan by 2025. The policy of replacing old cars with new ones in Wuhan will be suspended starting from 24:00 on August 19, 2025. Individual consumers who purchased new cars before August 19, 2025 must complete the registration and transfer procedures for the new car and old car before August 31, 2025, and submit the subsidy application materials through the Hubei Province Automobile Replacement and Renewal Service Platform. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Individual consumers who have submitted subsidy applications must submit complete and accurate correction materials in accordance with the audit opinions before 24:00 on September 30, 2025. Failure to complete the correction by the deadline will result in automatic forfeiture of the subsidy eligibility. In addition, the policy of scrapping and renewing cars will continue to be implemented.
