Hainan issues a level 4 heavy rain warning, heavy rainfall expected in many areas.

Due to the combined impact of the tropical system in the South China Sea and the eastward airflow, it is expected that in the next 24 hours, some townships in five cities and counties including Wenchang, Qionghai, Wanning, Haikou, and Ding'an will experience strong precipitation of 100 to 150 millimeters; while some townships in four cities and counties including Chengmai, Tunchang, Qiongzhong, and Lingshui will experience rainfall of 50 to 180 millimeters. The Hainan Provincial Meteorological Bureau issued a Level 4 heavy rain warning at 9:20 am on August 16, 2025, and advised relevant units and individuals to take preventive measures.
