Amazon plans to expand its same-day grocery delivery service to over 2,300 cities by the end of this year, more than doubling the current number. This marks the latest effort by the company to enter the grocery industry. In this trillion-dollar industry, its top retail competitor Walmart is leading. The company stated on Wednesday that customers will be able to order fresh produce, dairy products, meat, seafood, baked goods, as well as frozen food and household items. Amazon said that in most cities, Prime members can enjoy free same-day delivery for orders over $25. Non-members will have to pay a $12.99 service fee regardless of the order amount.
