On July 31st, the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) 100 Index in London closed at 9132.81 points, down 4.13 points from the previous trading day, a decrease of 0.05%. The three major stock indices in Europe all fell that day. In terms of individual stocks, financial stocks led the gains among the constituents of the London stock market. The top five stocks with the largest gains were: financial investment company St. James's Place with a 11.89% increase in stock price, business services company Rentokil Initial with a 9.49% increase in stock price, Rolls-Royce Holdings with an 8.50% increase in stock price, UK real estate sales network company "Rightmove" with a 2.79% increase in stock price, and insurance and financial investment company Prudential Group with a 2.73% increase in stock price.
