Beijing Huairou issues a red alert for mountain flood disasters.

According to Shan Shui Huairou, at 6:00 PM on July 31, 2025, the Water Resources Bureau of Huairou District and the Meteorological Bureau of the district jointly issued a red alert for mountain flood risks: considering the uncertainty of precipitation, and given the extremely high saturation of soil in our mountainous areas, the risk of mountain flood disasters remains extremely high. A red alert for mountain flood risks is now being issued across the entire district. Please stay away from mountain streams, suspend outdoor activities involving mountains and water, closely monitor changes in water levels in mountain streams, and take precautions against mountain flood disasters.
