On the afternoon of July 31, the Beijing Municipal People's Government Information Office held a press conference on flood prevention and disaster relief in Beijing. Xia Linmao, member of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, introduced that after the disaster occurred, a total of 104,000 people in the city were relocated, and over 5,400 trapped people were rescued. Currently, the relevant rescue operations are still ongoing. In recent days, the city has been working non-stop to carry out rescue, repair and restoration operations, and to do everything possible to facilitate the relocation and assistance of those affected by the disaster, in order to quickly restore normal production and living order in the disaster-affected areas.
