Ministry of Natural Resources: A 6.5 magnitude earthquake in the sea east of the Qaidam Islands will not have any impact on the coast of our country.

At 13:27 on July 31st Beijing time, a 6.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in the sea east of the Thousand Islands. The China Earthquake Administration's Tsunami Warning Center has determined based on preliminary earthquake parameters that the earthquake may trigger a local tsunami around the epicenter, but will not have any impact on the coastal areas of China.
