The State Administration of Grain and Material Reserves urgently transported central emergency rescue and disaster relief supplies to support Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Inner Mongolia in furthering their efforts to provide assistance in the rescue and relief work for the flood and waterlogging disasters caused by heavy rain.
According to the National Development and Reform Commission, on July 30th, in response to the needs of local flood prevention and disaster relief work, the National Grain and Material Reserves Bureau mobilized urgently and in accordance with the transportation instructions of the National Office of Flood Control and Drought Relief and the Ministry of Emergency Management, dispatched over 56,000 pieces of central emergency rescue and disaster relief materials, such as geotextile fabric, flood control lead wire mesh, drainage pumps, generators, tents, folding beds, blankets, towels, and emergency lighting, to Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Inner Mongolia to support local efforts in further enhancing flood prevention and disaster relief and the urgent resettlement of disaster-affected populations.
