The Maotai Wine Collectors Association has ceased operations, and the Maotai Wine Museum will undergo reassessment.
The Maotai Collection Club operated by the Eli Research Institute has ceased operations. Currently, the secretariat of the Maotai Collection Club is working to return the previously collected 800,000 yuan trust deposit to the existing 56 Maotai collection halls. On July 28, Zhang Deqin, chairman of Maotai Group, presided over a seminar related to the management of Maotai Collection Halls. The responsible persons of the collection halls who attended the meeting revealed that the original collection halls will be re-assessed, with those passing the assessment being supervised and operated by Guizhou Maotai Liquor Sales Company. A new Maotai Vintage Wine Club has been established, with a new president elected. The future focus of the new club will be to regulate the vintage wine market, and discussions were also held on the operating model of the new club. Currently, the procedures for the Maotai Vintage Wine Club are still being processed. The concept of a collection hall was proposed by Maotai's former chairman Ding Xiongjun in 2022.
