VeriSign falls more than 8%, major shareholder Berkshire Hathaway plans to reduce its stake by one-third
Internet domain registration company VeriSign fell more than 8%, to $281.51. In terms of news, Berkshire Hathaway, under Buffett's control, plans to sell 4.3 million shares of VeriSign. After the sale is completed, its stake will be below 10%, which is the threshold for legally disclosing ownership. If requested by the underwriters, Berkshire Hathaway may sell an additional 515,000 shares. As of the end of March, Berkshire Hathaway held 13.29 million shares of VeriSign, representing 14.2% ownership.
