China COSCO Shipping Corporation (02866) plans to order 10 bulk carriers with a loading capacity of 210,000 tons and lease them out.

Zhongyu Shipping (02866) announced on July 29, 2025 (after trading hours) that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hainan Zhongyu Shipping (as the buyer), has entered into agreements with (i) Zhoushan Heavy Industry (as the seller) to build 6 210,000 deadweight ton bulk carriers under 6 separate shipbuilding contracts in 2025, with a total contract price of RMB 3.168 billion (excluding taxes); and (ii) China Shipbuilding Group (referred to collectively as the sellers) to build 4 210,000 deadweight ton bulk carriers under 4 separate shipbuilding contracts in 2025, with a total contract price of RMB 2.112 billion (excluding taxes).
