Moody's Vice President Nidhi Dhruv's report shows that by the end of 2030, data center capacity in the Asia-Pacific region will more than double, requiring an investment of $800 billion to $900 billion. The report states that driven by the demand for AI, cloud technology, and digital sovereignty, the region is driving the vigorous growth of global data centers. By 2030, the region's data center capacity will account for over 40% of global data center capacity. However, the report states that major development challenges include ensuring new power resources and meeting renewable energy requirements, while land supply and strong government support will remain crucial.
