Analysts at Daiwa Research have stated in a report that starting from 2027, the autonomous taxi service may become a major business and key revenue driver for Pony.ai. They mentioned that with the advancements and maturity of their AI software and hardware, the company is entering a phase of rapid growth. Daiwa mentioned that the company's seventh generation of autonomous taxis has started production in June and is expected to be the first model to bring per-vehicle profits to the company. At the same time, their autonomous truck service has entered the initial commercialization stage through partnerships with leading truck OEM manufacturers and logistics platforms. The company has obtained China's first inter-provincial autonomous truck road test permit and has started testing in the highway freight network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
