From January to June 2025, the profits of China's industrial enterprises above designated size dropped by 1.8% nationwide.

From January to June, the total profits of industrial enterprises above a designated size in the country amounted to 3.4365 trillion yuan, a decrease of 1.8% year-on-year. Among industrial enterprises above a designated size from January to June, state-owned enterprises achieved a total profit of 1.1091.2 trillion yuan, a decrease of 7.6% year-on-year; shareholding enterprises achieved a total profit of 2.5330.4 trillion yuan, a decrease of 3.1%; foreign-invested enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan achieved a total profit of 882.31 billion yuan, an increase of 2.5%; private enterprises achieved a total profit of 938.97 billion yuan, an increase of 1.7%. From January to June, the mining industry achieved a total profit of 429.41 billion yuan, a decrease of 30.3% year-on-year; the manufacturing industry achieved a total profit of 25.9006 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.5%; the electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply industry achieved a total profit of 417.04 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3%.
