The first cross-border transmission new energy project in Asia is put into operation.

China Power Construction, as Laos' largest power contractor, recently achieved commercial operation of the first phase of the Mengsong 600MW Mountain Wind Power Project, the first cross-border new energy project in Asia under EPC total contracting. The Mengsong 600MW Mountain Wind Power Project is Laos' first and the largest single wind power project in Southeast Asia. Led by China Power Construction's East China Institute, the project is also jointly constructed by the Hydroelectric Ten Bureau and Hubei Engineering Company.
