The new presiding board of the Peruvian Congress takes office.

The Peruvian Congress held a plenary meeting on the 26th to elect new members of the executive committee. The new executive committee officially took office on that day. Jose Yeri from the "We Are Peru" party was elected as the President of Congress for the 2025-2026 term. The meeting also elected 3 Vice Presidents, namely Fernando Rospeioxi, Valdemar Seron, and Ilich Lopez. The current executive committee of Peru will serve until the end of the unicameral parliamentary system.
