On the 26th, during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference, the "Modu Smart Driving" Action Plan for the Shanghai High-Level Autonomous Driving Leading Area was released. The action plan proposes that by 2027, there will be a breakthrough of over 6 million passengers with Level 4 autonomous driving, more than 5000 kilometers of open roads, and over 90% of new vehicles equipped with Level 2 and Level 3 functions. Han Dadong, Director of the Automobile Industry Division of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, stated that Shanghai will accelerate the establishment of a globally leading high-level autonomous driving leading area through multidimensional cooperation in data platforms, training bases, key technologies, and institutional policies. To create a high-level autonomous driving leading area, Shanghai will promote the construction of diverse application scenarios, steadily expand the scale of policy applications, promote the orderly landing of unmanned driving equipment, explore standard models for operations such as unmanned delivery, inspection, and automatic parking, expand the open areas for autonomous driving in an orderly manner, achieve full-area openness in Pudong New Area, and simultaneously promote the openness of Fengxian District, Minhang District, and other regions. In addition, Shanghai will strengthen the construction of autonomous driving verification testing capabilities, establish third-party platforms such as the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Traffic Safety Key Laboratory, and enhance the verification of autonomous driving systems and operational services.
