The national protein science research facility has been open for ten years and has achieved fruitful results.

The National Protein Science Research Facility located in Zhangjiang Science City in Shanghai officially opened and began operations on July 28, 2015 after passing the national acceptance inspection. In the past ten years of operation, the protein facility has served a total of 504 units nationwide, supporting over 2500 research teams and accommodating over 100,000 users to conduct experiments. It has supported the completion of over 13,400 research projects and the publication of more than 4,000 high-level research papers. Significant research achievements have been made in areas such as disease mechanism analysis, innovative drug development, and synthetic biology design, which have contributed to the translation of multiple original research findings and have played an important role in enhancing the original innovation capability in life sciences and the self-controllable level in the field of biopharmaceuticals in China.
