Shanxi Province has initiated a provincial-level fourth-level emergency response to geological disasters in five cities, including Datong and Shuozhou.

Since July 24th, Shanxi Province has experienced heavy rainfall, leading to saturated soil moisture levels and a high risk of geological disasters. The office of the Shanxi Province Major Geological Disaster Emergency Command decided to initiate a level four emergency response for geological disasters in Datong, Shuozhou, Xinzhou, Lvliang, and Jincheng cities starting from 2 p.m. on July 26th.
