Nanjing Archaeological Institute: initiates proactive archaeological excavation at the site of the Ming Palace.

On July 26th, the Nanjing Archaeological Research Institute released a report entitled "Announcement on the Active Archaeological Excavation at the Ming Palace Ruins in Nanjing." The report stated that the Palace Museum, the Nanjing City Wall Protection and Management Center, and the Nanjing Archaeological Research Institute initiated active archaeological excavations at the Ming Palace Ruins in July 2025.
