Sinopec produces 400 million cubic meters of coalbed gas annually in the Yanchuan South block, achieving commercial scale development of medium to deep coalbed gas. CNOOC has discovered deep coalbed gas reserves exceeding 110 billion cubic meters in the Shenfu block in northeast Ordos. According to experts' predictions, by 2035, our country's annual production of coalbed gas will reach 40 billion to 50 billion cubic meters, becoming the most realistic natural gas replacement resource after tight gas and shale gas.
