World Internet Conference holds exchange meeting on the development and governance of artificial intelligence.
The World Internet Conference AI Development and Governance Forum was held in Quanzhou, Fujian on the afternoon of July 23. Wang Jingtai, Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, attended the meeting and introduced the development and governance of artificial intelligence in China. Ren Xianliang, Secretary-General of the World Internet Conference, delivered a welcoming speech. The meeting pointed out that China attaches great importance to the development and security of artificial intelligence. The current development of artificial intelligence in China is showing a positive and orderly trend, focusing on policy supply, innovation development, security assurance, and cooperative openness. The next step will continue to improve governance mechanisms, coordinate development and security, and further promote the healthy and orderly development of artificial intelligence towards beneficial, safe, and fair directions. The event was hosted by the World Internet Conference, with representatives from more than 50 member companies such as Qualcomm, IBM, Nokia Bell, Huawei, Ping An Group, Baidu, Tencent, JD.com, CTM, Qisheng Technology, and VIVO attending.
