A recent study published in the British journal "The Lancet Public Health" on the 23rd showed that walking 7000 steps a day can reduce the overall risk of death by 47%. This study, based on a systematic analysis of 57 relevant studies in the past, included data from 160,000 adults. The study found that compared to walking 2000 steps a day, walking 7000 steps a day can reduce the overall risk of death by 47%, cancer death risk by 37%, and cardiovascular disease death risk by 47%. In addition, the risk of developing type 2 diabetes decreased by 14%, the risk of dementia decreased by 38%, and the risk of experiencing depressive symptoms decreased by 22%.
