Russian plane crash, no survivors
This afternoon, a Russian Angara Airlines Antonov An-24 passenger plane crashed in the Amur region. Preliminary information shows that all 49 people on board did not survive. According to reports from the Russian news agency, the wreckage of the plane was found on a "very difficult to reach slope" 15 kilometers from its destination - the city of Tynda in the Amur region. The latest information from the Civil Defense and Fire Safety Center of the region reported that "no survivors were found during aerial surveys at the crash site" and ground search and rescue "may lead to new discoveries." Ground search and rescue personnel dispatched from Tynda Airport are expected to take about an hour to reach the rescue site.
