The first global wheat stripe rust resistant gene map has been successfully drawn.
Northwest A&F University has learned that a research team has collaborated with the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other units to successfully map the first global panorama of wheat rust resistance genes in the face of the ongoing global challenge of wheat stripe rust pathogen variation. They have built a core resource library of "comprehensive resistance sources" for wheat stripe rust on a global scale. This groundbreaking research provides "gene navigation" for wheat breeding, marking a leading breakthrough in the field of basic research on wheat disease prevention and control in China. The related research results were published on the 23rd in the international journal "Nature Genetics".
