Due to the recent budget bill passed by the Trump administration, Tesla may not be able to keep up with the pace of car deliveries. Tesla said on a conference call on Wednesday that its car supply will be squeezed due to the sudden cancellation of certain electric vehicle tax credits. The company's CFO, Vaibhav Taneja, said, "If you're in the US and planning to buy a car this year, order now because we may not be able to guarantee delivery of orders from late August onwards." Taneja also said that Tesla has delayed the development of an affordable model in order to focus on manufacturing and delivering as many cars as possible before the tax credits expire.
