Hong Kong immigration department arrests 18 people involved in using fake documents to obtain entry permits for the "Quality Migrant Admission Scheme".
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Immigration Department announced on the 23rd that they have busted a cross-border criminal group suspected of using false documents to deceive the "Quality Migrant Admission Scheme" immigration permit, arresting 18 people. It was reported that the criminal group had been operating for about 1 and a half years, arranging at least 22 applications, with a preliminary estimated total amount involved of 55 million Hong Kong dollars. Among the arrested individuals, 5 are Hong Kong residents, including the mastermind and key members of the criminal group; the other 13 are mainland Chinese residents applying for the "Quality Migrant Admission Scheme".
