At the 10th Shaanxi, Shanxi, Sichuan, and Gansu Steel Enterprise Summit held recently, representatives of steel enterprises reached a consensus on "strengthening self-discipline and production control." Participants believe that implementing the central government's requirement to break the "rat race," strengthening industry self-discipline, will play an important role in achieving orderly, high-quality, and effective development of the regional steel industry. Luo Tiejun, vice chairman of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, stated that in the first half of the year, a portion of the steel industry's profits came from the decline in prices of raw materials such as coking coal. Steel companies need to be aware of the reality that demand has not fundamentally changed in the second half of the year and strengthen industry self-discipline.
