Recently, the Altay region of Xinjiang conducted the 2025 annual fishery ecological resource protection and enhancement release activities in the Kran River section of the Irtysh River basin, releasing a total of 14,000 rare fish such as Arctic grayling and fine-scale salmon. It is understood that this year, the Altay region will release 3.28 million fish fries in three batches, covering eight species including Zheluo salmon, Jiang cod, white-spotted dogfish, sauries, river perch, and other unique economic fish species. Enhancement release is an important measure to restore and protect aquatic biological resources and improve the aquatic ecological environment. Through scientific planning, careful organization, and strict supervision, the local area has gradually built a virtuous cycle ecological system of "raising fish for water, purifying water with fish, and protecting water with fish".
