According to the Zhitong Financial APP, the Legislative Council's Transport Panel discussed the proposed legislation on regulating the ride-hailing framework that was submitted earlier. Hong Kong's Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Chen Meibao, expressed hope to eliminate uncertainty by introducing a licensing system, allowing the taxi industry and ride-hailing services to develop together smoothly.
